Are You a Lifeguard?

International staff who have a valid Canadian lifeguarding certification will receive an extra $100 pocket money. Nyquest Camp Canada runs several courses in Toronto, Canada for international lifeguards to transfer their current certifications, complete additional training or to receive a new qualification.

You do not need to have a current lifeguarding certification to be eligible for these courses. Please contact us for more information on these courses.

Potential Costs

Work Permit

You will NOT be charged anything additional by Nyquest for your work permit. Although this happens rarely, the Immigration Officer may charge you a fee of $155 at the border. Note: If you would like to work for 1-2 years in Canada, then you may be eligible to apply for a Working Holiday Visa at your own cost.

Extra Certificates

Some camps prefer to hire staff that have First Aid or Lifeguarding Certifications. There may be an added cost associated with obtaining these certifications. It is not compulsory but can help find you a placement quicker!

Additional Costs

Flights are not included in your program fee. Staff are able to book flights on their own via any airline of their choice. However, in order to help applicants with the added expense of booking a flight to Canada, we offer a Flight Assist option, in which we to deduct your flight cost from your final pocket money.

Background Checks

Once accepted into the program, all applicants need to provide a medical and criminal background check. These fees are not paid to Nyquest and vary based on your country of residency and your individual doctor’s fees.
