The NYQUEST community extends far beyond our office, the staff we recruit and the directors that we work with. We are supported on the ground in some of the countries that we work with by an awesome network of eager, passionate past participants and current returners in our program.
The “EH” Team
These hand-picked staff are located in key areas where we gather a significant number of applications, and they are responsible for their respective regions by way of promotion, local events, and being the main point of contact for our Regional Representatives. If you have any questions and you are in their area, you can email them directly.
Michelle is from sunny Queensland, Australia but has spent the last four summers at a camp in Northern Ontario (a privately owned camp in Temagami). Starting as a camp counsellor in 2013, Michelle worked her way up to Head Lifeguard, Manager and the ‘Leaders In Training’ Leader.
Michelle loves to travel and has visited over twenty countries so far with Canada being an easy favourite. Her favourite things about Canada are snowboarding, hiking, canoe trips and of course Tim Hortons! She is excited to be representing NYQUEST in Australia and New Zealand but also eager to get back to beautiful Canada for another amazing summer!
Anna is from the land of St Patrick in Ireland–and lives in the country’s capital, Dublin. She spent last summer experiencing Canadian summer camp for the first time where she was a camp counsellor at a camp in Northern Ontario (a privately owned camp in Temagami). She is officially addicted to camp and is counting down the days until next summer!
Anna has travelled across Europe but last summer was her first time across the waters to Canada and she loved it! From the tallest buildings in the city to the most beautiful lakes in the middle of Canada’s wilderness, it’s very different from the wee island of Ireland but Anna felt right at home.
Anna’s passion is for dance and camp allowed for her come back after a yearlong injury!
Anna is super excited to be NYQUEST’s Regional Director in Ireland and to spread her love of camp to everyone there. Here’s to summer 2017!

Hannah has spent 2 summers with NYQUEST working at a camp in northern Ontario. She always wanted to go to summer camp as a child: “you know the movie ‘The Parent Trap’?”
That did it for her, and she never thought I’d now be spending 3-4 months a year working at one. Since going to camp, she’s met so many amazing people from around the world and made so many life long friendships, and yes, she does get ‘camp sick’ when she returns home. Going to camp has created a whole new second family for her and opened up so many new opportunities.
Her favourite activity at camp has to be anything in the lake really, especially that first jump in of the summer! Nothing beats it!
She’s is currently studying Bioscience at the University of Suffolk and she plans to move to Canada for Medical School once she has graduated!
Northern United Kingdom
Liam (top) has spent two summers with NYQUEST and has experienced two very different camps. Since he was a child, he has always dreamed of moving to North America and knew this was a great opportunity to get a flavour of what goes on across the Atlantic.
What he loves most about camp is making friends with people from around the world and becoming part of a well established family at camp. One of his favourite activities is canoe tripping, where you can really escape from the world and appreciate the people you are with.
Liam studies Maths at The University of Edinburgh and once he has graduated, he plans to move to Canada!
“I like Drake.”
The NYQUEST Regional Representatives are past program participants who act as resources, ambassadors and information sharers in their communities! Some are at University, spreading the word through student bodies; others are travelling, working a winter season in Europe and tapping into the outdoor industry that way. Wherever they exist, they make sure people know about the amazing opportunity to be had at camp in Canada!
Are you a past NYQUEST Camp Canada participant? If so, share your experience by becoming a Regional Representative and receive $50 for every participant that you recruit! In addition, becoming a regional representative is a great opportunity to gain experience for your resume, and to develop a valuable network of staff and camp professionals.
